Version: 2.6 but found equally in 2.5.2
Problem: Terrible performance from Ajax in Grader report.
For example, the Grader report with the editing on. It creates a lot of server load and feels like Moodle is causing Chrome or Firefox (too) to nearly freeze. Indeed when I look at the system monitor on my laptop I am seeing spikes in CPU and RAM from Firefox when reloading the Grader report with editing on. When I monitor the application server with htop on the command line, I see some CPU peeks there as well.
There doesn't seem to be much mention of how one might improve the performance of such functions. Any thoughts?
