I have a somewhat strange problem. We have several .wma files uploaded in a certain course. These files have opened correctly for the past semester and continued to do so until I enabled zlib yesterday. With zlib enabled, I can no longer open .wma files from our courses--basically, Windows Media Player attempts to start playing the file and then stops. If I try to download the file, I often will get only the first 15 KB (as opposed to 3 MB). If I hold down the Shift key when downloading, the entire file will download and I can open it normally.
I have confirmed that .wma files open correctly when zlib is not linked in PHP. Currently, I've specified Moodle variables for "zip:" and "unzip:" so I can get around this problem, but I'm not sure if this will cause problems in the future. I'm currently running php 4.3.10, zlib 1.2.0.7, and Moodle 1.4.1.
