We're looking to have people being added to specific groups based on a profile field when they enrol into a given course.
I read up on automatic cohorts and cohort group synch but it doesn't quite hit the mark i.e. going this way all members of the cohort we create would be enrolled in the course and put in the correct group ... but in our use case not all members of a given cohort would need to do the specific course/courses.
The ideal workflow would be for individuals to be added to a group on enrolment to a course that they specifically have to (or want to) do based on the custom profile field with admin/course creator being able to specify that to happen on a course by course basis.
So far I haven't stumbled across a way to do it out of the box or via a published plugin any pointers would be much appreciated.
