Multiple MNet networking on the same server

We want to make two integrations between Moodle and Mahara on the same server.  One for development purpose one for production site.

We are trying to do that but we cannot make both to work.

The structure of the folders is like this.

Development environment:

development.domain.com/moodle  to be connected with development.domain.com/mahara

Production environment:

domain.com/moodle   to be networked with domain.com/mahara

 

Is this possible to do considering that both integrations we want to be on the same server that have same IP address?

Can there be a problems with the PublicKeys?

Have you looked into the changing the cookie prefix for the sites?  (Server | Session Handling) - I'm a 100% Moodle newbie, just happen to see something on this in a book.  Hope this helps...
