I'm trying my firstworkshop and it seems like one of those things that is very hard the first time you try it. I know the payoff for students will be great.
I've done TAB #1 = Set Up Assignment
I've been to tab 1 A) I've Setup Assesment elements
I've been to tab 1 B) Administration:
League Table of Submitted WorkLeague Table of Submitted Work
Number of Entries: 1
I'm stuck on Tab #2: Allow Student Submissions
How do I get past this?
My students have 80 page paper notebooks. So I want them to grade each others notebooks ( offline activity ).
What does a workshop look like to students?
In the demo features course the workshop demo
no longer works as the date needs to be extended.
Ok, thanks in advance to all you workshop experts out there! Peace! Joe.
PS: I've build my course so far with chats, web links to other sites, web page resources, quizzes, forums and even tried glossaries.
I'm only a novice myself, so perhaps someone can correct me, but I believe you move past tab 2 simply by selecting the next tab, assuming some assignments have been uploaded. Unlike Assignment, I believe Workshop requires a file to be uploaded, even if it's just a brief description (or identifier) of an off-line activity. Note that students cannot upload anything until after completing their reviews of teacher examples if that is set > 0.
The Workshop interface to the student is similar to uploaded Assignment: a box for browsing a file with a button for uploading. Try logging in as a student (add a dummy student if you like) and have a look.
Also, the Workshop interface has been subtantially modified in 1.5, so that you set begin and end dates for submissions and assessments, rather than selecting tabs.
Hope your workshop works out OK.
