I take it that Moodle.org not do daily backups or weekly for that matter. Unless of course Moodle.org had a catastrophic infrastructure loss due to a plane falling on their headquarters. Or maybe it was an invasion by alien species. Either way it seems very odd that the backups where not kept off-site or in the cloud. Cant wait to find out what happened so we can all learn from this mistake

I too was very surprised to not have any notification of what was going on. I had heard that they were going to upgrade and looking at the editor icons above as I type, am guessing we are now on 2.6.
