Currently, the settings at our institution do not allow for instructors to input a grade over the maximum for anything in the gradebook (we are limited to the maximum grade). We have noticed the "unlimited grades" setting in the site administration, would it be worthwhile to change this to unlimited grades? Can it be changed part way through a semester?
And would changing this allow for instructors to simply input 104% if they want to assign extra credit? Would this be a way to assign extra credit if the instructor is using weighted mean of grades as the aggregation (and therefore does not get the extra credit option to click?)
