I'm using Moodle 2.5 in a commercial environment, mostly to deliver e-learning courses.
We have a 90-minute instructor-led training (ILT) course we deliver every two weeks (not yet in Moodle; we're currently using QuickBase as the LMS for this course). Sessions are scheduled 6-9 months in advance. Students can sign up for any upcoming session. There are five instructors in rotation, where a different instructor teaches each session. Instructors can view the attendee list for any scheduled session and see who's planning to attend. When a student signs up, they get a confirmation email with an attached appointment they can add to their Outlook calendar.
I want to move this ILT into Moodle, to try and consolidate to using one LMS.
Any advice on the best way to set this up in Moodle? Do I create one course per 90-minute session (26 courses over the year)? Is there a better way? And how do I handle the calendaring reminder automation?
Any help appreciated,
