Can't regrade quiz - no questions error (honest there are questions in quiz)

Changed grade scale for a quiz from 20% to 100%, after quiz had been graded. Try to regrade quiz, get "no questions error", however the quiz grade is correct in the quiz area, but not in the gradebook area (they still contain the old values). See attached screen shots for better illustration of problem.

I was getting that too, but I finally had to delete the quiz and use another, but it doesn't work.
