How to run a stored procedure in MySQL for Moodle
Group Particularly helpful Moodlers

Hello,

I am going to ask a question which you may find easy, but it is the first time I do it.

In order to run a customised plug-in I have been told that I also need to run a ‘stored procedure’ in MySQ , which starts with:

DELIMITER //

CREATE PROCEDURE SP_MScDiss(_cid INT, _sid INT)

BEGIN

SET SESSION group_concat_max_len = 16384;

SET @sql = '';

END//

What is the best –and safest- way of running the procedure from the MySQL command line.

In this threat there are different ways, but I would like to know which one is safer, because it will run in the database of our production site:

 Thank you very much for your advice.
