Certificate Newbie - how to do a customised certificate
Group Particularly helpful Moodlers

Hi.

I'm experienced with Moodle but am a complete newbie when it comes to how to design a customised Certificate. Here's the design I want to use for my Certificate which is actually a Statement Of Results for an English Proficiency Test.

The output in the blue background sections A, B, C and D depend on the student's percentage Score of a quiz.

The date and Studenrt name data are from the standard Moodle fields. All other table data ('Equivalency Chart') are duplicated across all types of Statement of Results.

My biggest challenge is that I can have up to 8 different Certificate designs based on the student's percentage score.
My question is how do I go about his?

Newbie and a Newbs at the Moodle Certificate but definitely not a noob!

Hi

Okay, “Houston, In the blind", I am answering my own question (how sad, sniff!). Okay, it just hit me that I can easily get 8 different Certificates to appear on my Coursepage by creating 8 Certificate activities. Each certificate activity will have its own 'Grade condition' set up with the necessary score criteria.

For example, if the student scores between 80 and 100, I can display one certificate which appears only if the student scores in the range of 80 to 100. If another student scores, let's say, 40%, that score will trigger another Certificate where its grade condition is for a value of 0 to 40 for it to be activated. So am I right or am I right, with this 'solution'?

So I suppose my greatest challenge is how to design a customised design for the Certificate. I had hoped that it would be as easy of designing on a WYSIWYG tool or method. Apparently, it's NOT that easy to customise as per an existing placement test Statement of Record. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Over and out, Houston,

Houton, In the blind, I think I found a way to get back to the earth's atmosphere. This post might be my lifeline.
