We have a new server that has about 20 differemt Moodle installations. Most of the moodle platforms are used frequently and maybe 25% of them have very high load.
As load increase we have had severe issues with performance. Database will simply lock up and freeze all databases. Ive been experimenting with different configurations but none i doing anything good.
For example we have 21258 connections.
Id like to know what to set table_open_cache varaible to. Currently its1024 KB and it doesnt seem to help at all.
Other vars we've set:
query_cache_type = 1.
query_cache_size = 512M
Ive read we are supposed to set table cache to 200 * amount of maximum number of tables per join in any of the queries Moodle makes.
What is the amount of maximum number of tables per join in Moodle 1,9?
