Manager Role not installed by default version 2.4

Hello,

I am looking to provide a specific user the ability to instruct as well as change user passwords if needed but I don't want to provide the user with admin access.

I read about the Manager role here: http://docs.moodle.org/22/en/Manager_role although this documentation is for version 2.2 and the list of permissions for version2.4: http://docs.moodle.org/24/en/Manager_role.

I checked the settings: Settings > Course Administration > Users > Other Users) but the Manager role isn't listed.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Josh Stuckey

Hi Josh,

Hope you’re doing well! I just saw your problem and I’m trying my level best to provide a possible solution.

As far as I’ve understood your problem, you wish to assign a manager role to the user. FYIthe manager role is by default provided in Moodle 2.4.  The site map for the manager role is given below. Please have a look at it.

Home ► Site administration ► Users ► Permissions ► Define roles

Now, specifically to resolve your problem ie to assign a manager role to the user, please visit the site map given below; select the role “manager” and then assign accordingly.

Home  ► Site Administration  ► Users  ► Permissions  ► Assign system rles

I hope this works for you.

Keep on Moodling!

Shan
