Hi everyone. I'm in the process of developing a Moodle site for ESL students in Costa Rica. One of the things I want to do is have scrambled sentence exercises, but I have yet to find a satisfactory way to do this. Maybe I just haven't found the correct module or option. I don't want to simply have multiple choice. That defeats the purpose of the exercise. Has anyone else done this, and if so, how?

Hi, David,
Hot Potatoes will do that. Might be worth checking out.

Hi David,
I agree with Art about Hotpot, but I have had problems with JMix - the jumbled sentence program - registering the scores. I have also been using the Short answer option in the quizzes to do this. One advantage of this is that you can see what the students have attempted to do as well as their scores.
Regards,
Phil
