If I enable Paypal for a course, do I have to disable "self enrolment"?

If I enable Paypal for a course, do I have to disable "self enrolment"?

If I disable self-enrolment, will it stop students enroling in a course, even if they've paid via paypal?

or is it the other way around - that if I allow self-enrolment, students can bypass PayPal enrolment and enrol for free?

Hello Neil,

Hope you’re doing well smile

If you disable self enrollment it will definitely not stop users form enrolling into courses via paypal. What’s great is you can keep both the enrollment methods (self and paypal) functioning simultaneously. This is to say, if users pay via paypal they can of course enroll themselves, however, students may even bypass the PayPal enrollment option and get enrolled for free if self enrollment is enabled.

Hope this clarifies your doubt.

Please let me know.

Cheers!

Thanks, so there doesn't seem any point in keeping both self-enrolment and PayPal activated? This will be on a public website, not a school/college site, so a student faced with a paid PayPal enrolment or a free self-enrolment isn't going to have much of a choice to make! smile
