Does anyone know how to disable the description section when uploading a document. I tried to disable it in the plugin section but it didnt seem to take effect when saved. Any suggestions?

Which Moodle version are you using.
Secondly you want to hide description from course page or from resource setting page.
I am Using Version 2.5 and I believe its the description box in the resource page
