Sorry about this Antonio. I will look at it later today.
just a quick update on the HotPot STOP button issue. I could not come up with a quick fix, so I working through a grander solution which will also handle the comparatively recent phenomena of browsers no longer recognizing the "onunload" event. I am most of the way there. I am testing the solution on all the various kinds of files that the HotPot module recognizes.
Thank you for your continued patience
thank you for your patience. I believe I have now implemented a solution to the STOP button issue which you reported.
This solution is hopefully more robust than the previous functionality. It should not interfere with the HotPot's "delay3" setting (= time delay at the end of the quiz). At the same time, it will allow the results to be saved if students navigate away from the page.
I tested the new functionality in JCloze, JCross, JMatch, JMix and JQuiz, in all combinations of STOP button, and Delay3, and a number of different output formats.
Please be aware that I have not tested yet in Rhubarb and Sequitur. If you could send any feedback on those two type of exercise, with and without STOP button, I would be most grateful.
thanks for trying the latest version of the HotPot module. Nice report!
Could you explain in more detail what you mean by "Delete / Copy and paste inside clozes"
thanks for the extra info. I understand that you have tried deleting characters within a JCloze gap with two keys - I guess the "Backspace" key and the "Delete" key - and one of them doesn't work.
I will investigate and report back.
the investigation took longer than I expected, but I have returned with a solution, which I invite you to try out. Please download the latest version of the HotPot module, and let me know if the "Delete" button now works as you expect when inputting text in JCloze (and JQuiz and Rhubarb)
Later this week, I will have a look at the other issue you mentioned, namely scores in JCross and JMatch when exiting with the STOP button.
