Hi,
I've entered Bug 3268 at the request of a client. They want to have the ability to hide some of the teachers that are assigned to a course on the course description page.
I think the reasoning is that there may be only one or two teachers actually running the course, but many more assigned to it, as they may be writing items in the course. They don't want these latter ones shown on the course description to avoid confusion...and also to keep the size of the course description box down.
I know it is too late to ask for features to be added in 1.5, but is there a way to hack the course description box code to hide some of the names? Or even all of them...switch off the names completely, and then they can be manually added to the course description itself.
And then in a later version of Moodle, perhaps a checkboxe or "eye" icon could be added to the teacher list in each course...closing the eye hides the teacher from the list (but they still have their normal editing rights).

Hi Sean,
Perhaps I don't fully understand your request
because AFAIK it is currently possible (in 1.4.4) to hide teachers by selecting "Hide" in the Order drop-down menu on the teachers admin page.
Perhaps I don't fully understand your request

There are so many tricks in Moodle it's a challenge to spot them all!
