I am using moodle 2.4 and external database enrollment. When a student enrolls, the student gets access to the course ID number that he/she purchased. I have to make and edit 'duplicate' online courses because all students (hard-copy and online) get access to the same course material online. Because the order system database creates a unique ID course number for each product, the hard-copy and online course orders generate 2 different numbers.
Example: Hard copy 45 hour Agency Course 1 Online 45 hours Agency Course 2
In the example, a students who orders course 1 needs the same online content as the student who orders course 2. When I create this on moodle, I need to create both course 1 and course 2 with the same content. I also need to edit both courses with any changes.
Is there any easier way for courses to list multiple course ID numbers that share the same content?
I looked at both Groups and Metacourses. If I can give a course multiple course ID numbers....great...That is what I need. If I can't, do I create a metacourse and only put the content in the metacourse? I would hide the course 1 and course 2 and only show course 3 (the metacourse) correct? I would only edit the metacourse and not the other 2 courses, correct?
Has anyone tried this with external database enrollment? Does it work?
