TinyMCE editor won't appear on local network in Firefox

Hi Everyone,

Firefox has been working fine, displaying the TinyMCE editor. Yesterday, it stopped working. It will work fine outside of the local area network.

It will also work fine internally provide I uncheck

  • Block reported attack sites
  • Block reported web forgeries

in Firefox's security settings.

Since it's working fine externally, can anyone think of any network settings (or local settings) that may interfere with Firefox's security settings? If I reset Firefox, it also restores settings that enable TinyMCE for a brief period.

Thanks,

Andrew

At our college, we have a user who reports that TinyMCE will spontaneously reload/refresh itself (under Moodle 2.2, using Firefox 24).

She is posting to Discussion Forums, and every 5-10 uses (topic reply), TinyMCE will go blank, and she'll lose her text. It sounds like either the page is being reloaded/refreshed or the editor is resetting.

I'm now wondering if TinyMCE requires a live connection to the Moodle server or something. Could a network disruption cause the editor to reset itself?

Any ideas?

John.
