Import does not update Upcoming Events without Update

Using Moodle 2.5, when an activity is imported from one course to the next, the activity does NOT appear on the Upcoming Events block for the course.  If the activity is edited (even if no changes are made), the due date pops into the Upcoming Events block, as expected.  So, to get the imported item to show, a fake update has to be done, it seems.

I looked through documentation for Import and the Upcoming Events Block.  I also searched the forums and known issues.  I was surprised not to find a word of this from anyone else (assuming my search words were sufficient!).

Just wondering if this is "working as designed" or if I am missing a very obvious something.

Hi Kelly,

 

I can confirm this issue as well.  We just upgraded from 2.3 to 2.5.  

 

I can only hope a fix becomes available...
