I'm curious and hoping someone can shed some light on design decisions.  In earlier versions of Moodle, when you went to meta-link a child course into a parent, there was apparently a way to search for the child course instead of having to pick it from a dropdown.  In Moodle 2.4, when you add a Course Meta-Link enrolment method, you are presented with a page having a dropdown of all other courses on the system, and must find the child course.  Oddly, these don't appear to be in an real order other than course_id number sequence, i.e. the sequence in which they were added to the Moodle system.  While that's fine if you have a few dozen courses online, when you have a few thousand it can make finding that one child course a real challenge!

Was there a reason for the design change?  Is there any discussion around adding a real search facility to this instead of just the dropdown, or at least allowing us to order it by shortname or something?

Thanks!
