Will Paypal continue to work on Moodle 1.9+ ?

For various reasons, some of us have to continue to use Moodle 1.9 a while longer, while working out how to re-create our courses on Moodle 2+.

Paypal has sent out a dire warning that Paypal will cease to work unless users "update their IPN and/or PDT scripts to use HTTP 1.1, and include the “Host” and “Connection: close” HTTP header in the IPN postback script."

Has anyone worked out how to accomplish this on Moodle 1.9?

Today's email from Paypal says the IPN upgrade has been postponed. But it would still be good to know whether Moodle (1 and 2) will be affected.
