Is is possible for tutors to give assignment feedback without the need for a grade?

In assignment activity there is no option to set grade as 0 but you can give feedback without giving any grade.
Alternative you can do is you can set the assignment grade as 1 . Every one who has submitted the assignment you can give then marks 1 plus feedback. Because if you not give any marks the grade will be assumed as 0.
That's how we use a grade of 1.
no grade = work not turned in
0 = late, incomplete, or unacceptable
1 = work has been reviewed (in our case, critiqued)
This is very useful for supervisors and teachers when looking to see what's done, done poorly, or not done at all.
