What is 'Activity' in this Ad-Hoc report?

Using the CR Block on my front page I've implemented the 'How many LOGINs per user and user activity' report from the Ad-Hoc page http://docs.moodle.org/23/en/ad-hoc_contributed_reports#How_many_LOGINs_per_user_and_user.27s_Activity

The report is working well and generating results as I'd expect, thanks to whoever created it.

I've been asked to explain what exactly 'Activity' is.

I'm fairly new to Moodle's reporting and can't seem to locate an answer in the 2.3 documentation. What consitutes 'Activity'? Thanks for any help you can provide.

An activity would be any thing listed in the log, for example course view, or change password. (To view the logs, go to Settings, Site administration, Reports, Logs)

It literally just counts the lines grouping per user.
