Hello,

I'm trying to create quizes for Moodle 1.9.9. I've used the following steps to create a quiz:

Site Administration - Front Page - Front Page Questions:

Once the quiz is created it appears in the Main Menu: 

question:

1. How can I move newly created Quiz from Main Menu to the Course Category.

2. Is there another method of creating quizes.

You should start in the course that you want the quiz in.  Add a new Quiz under Add an Activity.  I am not sure if you can access the questions that you created on the Front Page in 1.9.9 or not - highly recommend an upgrade!
