Help please. Have an older 1.9 version and can not post on any forum of any course. We believe someone hacked in and did something. When I go to manage activities the line for forums does not have an eyeball or the option to delete. Thoughts?

What error you are getting. can you please paste it. And try to generate error after Turn the debugging on at your site from Site administration > Server > Debugging . Set this to developer level and display debug message to be enable.
Forum doesn't have an eye icon and delete option in Manage activities is default. NO PROBLEM
