When will style tag be permitted?

This afternoon I was working on a moodle lesson that had an outline format and I wanted to use a mixed list treatment (number/alpha caps/roman/etc. That is not supported but can be created easily with a bit of css.  Since HTML5 supports scoped css, I thought I'd try to test if there was something invalid about it an so I scoped the css within the body making it applicable for the parent tag and its children.  I then validated it and the HTML5 validator had no objections.  I tested it and it worked fine in every browser I tested it with (IE8, Chrome 11, Opera, Safari, and Firefox).  All of them displayed fine.

So when will moodle start supporting style tags as valid children of the body via TinyMCE?  It needs to or needs to at least allow lesson level or assignment level css files to be referenced so that formatting is not such a pain.
