I'm looking for a way to see all users assigned category-level roles across a Moodle site.
There doesn't seem to be an easy way to do this across the whole site, other than drilling into each category and clicking on Assign roles (and maintaining a separate spreadsheet).
I have found a way to list all users with site-level and course-level roles across the site:
- You can search for all users assigned at site-level by going to Site Administration > Users > Permissions > Assign system roles
- You can search for all users assigned to course-level roles by going to Site Administration > Users > Accounts > Browse list of users > Show advanced and selecting the role you're interested in. This only shows the list of users (but not the courses in which they have the role assigned) but it's still helpful - e.g. generating a list of all teachers.
- You can see what permissions a user (across the whole site) by clicking on their profile and viewing Settings > Profile settings for XXX > Roles > This user's role assignments.
Is there any view that can be generated to list out all users assigned to roles at category level? The above view are all in different areas of the site so I thought there might be something I'm missing...
