Alphabetical order of folders in a folder on a course

When it comes to displaying folders in a course, moodle puts them in an alphabetical order eg:

  • Lesson 1
  • Lesson 11
  • Lesson 12
  • Lesson 2
  • Lesson 21
  • Lesson 22

When I would want them to be displayed as:

  • Lesson 1
  • Lesson 2
  • Lesson 11
  • Lesson 12
  • Lesson 21
  • Lesson 22

If any advice could be given into altering the alphabetical order of these that would be great! Also see the image below for an example of what I mean.

I ran into this problem too - solved by renaming my folders - A-Lesson 1, B-Lesson 2, etc...

Thanks, that is one way around it but I was hoping for a more permanent solution than that...

Hi Jan,

Try using leading zeros in your Lesson folder names like so:

Lesson Folder Names Example
