Hi, I am using Moodle 2.3. All teachers are getting email notifications for assessment attempts and forum posts for the subjects they are not teaching too. Is it because the teacher role is applied in a system context? Will this problem be eliminated if I de-select 'system' checkbox while defining roles for teachers? Thanks.

When you applied teacher role to system context, it means teacher is enrolled in every course and I think teacher has enabled the forum notification and assessment in their messaging options thats why he is receiving notification from all the courses. If you remove system context from the role options then you have to enroll the teacher in the required courses.
