Clean install 2.4 stalls

Hi, I am a novice trying to install Moodle 2.4 on a hosting service with CPanel. Server meets requirements: PHP 5.3.23 MySQL 5.1.68-cll
linux (2.6.32-279.22.1.el6.x86_64)

I have set up directories, database&user, unpacked files per instructions.

Setup checks all show OK (green). Stops on next screen and shows only:

Installation
           System

Any orientation is appreciated. I am willing to research but I just don't know where to start looking. Thanks.

General advice is in the installation instructions

http://docs.moodle.org/24/en/Installing_Moodle#If_something_goes_wrong...

..especially notice the bit about creating your own config.php file and enabling debugging. Depending how far it got, you'll probably need to drop (delete) your Moodle database and start again,

Thanks Howard.

My (limited) understanding is that the config file is created toward the end of the process and I do see it in the moodle folder.

I will enable debugging, drop the database and go from there. Thanks.

I always create the file manually by copying config-dist.php. It saves worrying about file permissions if nothing else.
