Can I report this post as 'SPAM' please ;)
This is the most useful post I've read all day! =)
But on a more serious note, we are not really Nerds, Geeks, Emos or Hackers we are Software Engineers. We tread where others fear to tread, we make the impossible possible, we make climbing a mountain look like a walk in the park. We follow a defined set of engineering principles of requirements elicitation, design, implementation against coding standards, test procedures, peer review, maintenance and documentation. If we don't make the 'sale' we're not off down the pub, we stay behind working out what is wrong until it's fixed. This is not a game, this is serious. This is supporting the most important thing we have - education - and to take it lightly risks damaging the future of the learner.
