Is it possible for students to get an email when the teacher has given them a grade in Moodle 2.4. In Moodle 1.9 it was very easy to do this, but now I don't find any settings for this.

Hi Mia,
If you grade through the assignment then there is a box to check that says "Send notifications". If you are asking about through the gradebook then no, there isn't a way to send notifications that a grade has been posted. It would be a great new feature to select all and send a notification.
