We've been hosting our own Moodle server for about a year and a half. Recently, because of staffing changes, we just don't have the time to deal with it anymore, and were looking for a hosted solution.
We've contact several Moodle hosting companies/places (some partners, some not) and gathered up some information, but for whatever reason, we haven't been able to talk to a real person at Classroom Revolution.
We're really interested in finding out more about CR, but every time I call, I'm directed to someone's voice mail, and despite leaving numerous messages, no one has returned my call.
I guess I'm looking to see what kind of experiences others have had with Classroom Revolution. Has anyone else had these kinds of problems in contacting sales? What's the tech support like, if it's this hard to even purchase their service?
Thanks so much!
Just wanted to add that we've hosted with Classroom Revolution for a couple of years now and they've been great! Same situation as yours, Jen; we came out of a self-hosting situation.
For what it's worth, my enquiry received a very delayed, one sentence response--a clarifying question, really--and then a good day or two later a suggestion I look elsewhere (I'm in Singapore), because CR is focusing on North and South America.
I share this to spare others the trouble of finding this out via the long route. Lots of good talk about CR on Moodle forums led me to inquire. Nowhere on Moodle forums did I read that Asia needn't apply.
I'm looking at Australian hosts now.
