Problems in Installing moodle 2.5+

Hi friends,

While installing moodle 2.5+, At server checks one error is showing for mysql is  version 5.1.33 is required and you are running 5.0.77 but I have installed 5.5.24. How to resolve this problem ? Please help thanks in advance.

Hi Manjeet,

You could try posting this issue at the Moodle Tracker (https://tracker.moodle.org/secure/Dashboard.jspa).

I guess one would first need to know how Moodle determines what MySQL version is running and then try to "follow" that process. Maybe there is a text file with that info (i.e. the version number) and somehow it wasn't updated in the installation package you used. Or maybe there is just a bug at the verification code, and that's why I think that the Tracker would be your best option.
