I have a teacher asking me why the feedback to a student is only mailed just once.
I tried to test this and as far as I can see he's right.
A students submits an assigment, the teacher doesn't grade it yet but gives feedback. This feedback is Emailed to the student.
However from that point on it starts to get troublesome.
The student uploads his second attempt. I think the teacher gets an Email from this again. But when the teacher alters the feedback there's no new Email going to the student.
Is there a way to generate email on every feedback?
I have the same issue.
I want an email to be sent on every feedback!
I also have the same issue.
there seems to be some tracker stuff about this:
However this has been closed as not a bug. I think that is some possible confusion as to what that bug actualy is though.
I've raised this as a new ticket:
I have ran into the same problem in 2.4 so we started trying 2.5 to see if it had been fixed as part of the new reopening assignments feature but sadly it hasn't. You would expect the system to send an email to the student to let them know their latest version has been marked but no more are sent after the initial grading. As both the student and teacher get notified each time a new submission is uploaded you would expect the grading activity to follow the same logic.
I have exactly the same problem so I'm reviving this relatively old issue. We're on Moodle 2.5. Has anyone found a workaround for this yet?
