Shiver me timbers and where's me spinach? This is embarrassking. I just switched from weekly format to topics format. Now how do I change the topic text name from, for example, "Topic 1", to "Introduction to Cats"?
I think I missed something somewhere...had a busy day at work. Being an admministrator is aardvark. Am using the ubernice Moodle version - version 2.5! Heh.

To change the topic name you need to first 'Turn the editing On' after that your topic section should look like in the screenshot below
Click on the Edit summary icon (gear like) then untick use default section name and specify some Section name in the field and save it.

Hi you are able to edit when you are in weekly format or not or the same thing happend there also...
I don't remember much about the autohide feature but I'm pretty sure there's your issue
