I have install moodle 19
In fornt page . I have : Course categories . In here i show category , and subcategory
I want to disable category Miscellaneous . Can you see it ?

You can delete miscellaneous course category or can hide it from site administration > Courses > Add/edit courses . You will be presented with below table
