I'm new so may be my question is bit basic. What I want is to integreate moodle with my site. It is in wordpress with cpanel hosting and it is about www.howbees.com website. Since wordpress is a huge plateform it may have any plugin for moodle, I guess.
If integrating moodle with wordpress is possible, from where can I start?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Wordpress is an entirely different PHP program than Moodle so you can integrate them into each other. You can however, install Moodle on a subdomain and link to that subdomain from your WordPress site. The subdomain can be something like,
You can try creating a custom Moodle Theme to match your WordPress site theme. This will require some scripting knowledge.
Thank you for your quick response and sharing expertise. It's great! I guess I've got from where I've to take a start and will discuss it with my partner.
Will be back if any further guidance needed.
Not that you said it, but I'd would hardly call that an "integration".
That is nothing but a webpage with a link to the directory where Moodle is installed :
This is exactly as James Richardson said:
People have to see that there is a difference between having a link to a Moodle site and integrating Moodle with another Web application (think Joomdle: Joomla+Moodle).
I have developed a Wordpress plugin that fully integrates with woocommerce and synchronises Moodle courses across to Wordpress as Woocommerce products. The synchronisation process imports the course title, summary and start date of a Moodle course and these details will be shown on the frontend. The add-to-cart feature works seamlessly and the checkout works as expected. On the administration site, the plugin will automatically enrol the customer into the Moodle course upon verfication of payment. The customer will receive two emails; one of which contains the login details to Moodle and the other an enrolment confirmation email. Both of these emails are templated and contain parameters that replace themselves to the correct values before the emails are sent. The look-and-feel of the courses display on the frontend is completely customisable through the overriding of the plugin template files in the theme directory. It is so easy to add additional HTML or CSS with the overriding of templates.
I am in the midst of finishing up my video demo and my product site. I will get back to you once they are ready.
WordPress Moodle integration is a solution many are looking for. We had many clients asking for this, so we went ahead and developed a custom solution to integrate Moodle and WordPress.
