v2.5 Quiz calculated multichoice wildcards not propagating through to feedback

Current problem: I'd like wildcards to be "passed through" to the quiz question feedback area, but this does not happen.

In the below-pictured instance, {x1}=6, {x2}=-8, {y1}=-6, and {y2}=8. These wildcard variables are replaced by their numerical values in the question area, yet despite several attempts on my part the feedback area seems not to be able to read them as wildcards.

 

Is this worthy of taking to the tracker?  Perhaps there is a quick fix until the core can be modified?

  1. I understand that you have access to your code.
  2. You have confidence that the teacher(s) using you code won't try to hack your site .
  3. You don't want to use in the feedback wild cards that are not already in the question text or answer formula .

If so, a quick fix could be workout.
