I'm setting up a moodle site that will be using a specific course structure for multiple classes. I'm also using a specific enrol plugin (enrol apply). I'm not sure if my problem is user error or a development issue, so I'm starting here.
Using an admin account I created a course template. The enrollment method I need to use is part of that course (it's applied automatically to new courses). I backed up the course, using all the defaults except enrolled users (though there were no enrolled users in the course). I then restored it to a new course. When I go to that new course, the enrolment plugin is not included. I can manually add it, but the idea was to be able to quickly create template courses for a number of teachers without having to do extra configuration for each course. (The teachers will have to enter their course material, but I don't want the admin to have to edit each course -- it's time consuming and prone to error.)
I'm using 2.2.3.
Is this a moodle bug? Did I do something wrong? Do I need to create a course, then backup the course as a merge into the new one to get the enrolment methods? Or should I include the enrolled users in the backup to get the enrolment methods, even though there are no users, no grades, etc.?
Note -- when I create a new course, the enrolment plugin is automatically included in the course, so that part is working.
