I have a glossary that I want each student to add an entry to and I have set a rating scale of 0 or 1. For the first entry they create I will give a mark. So all that participate get 1 (100%).
Unfortunately I can not work out how to give the non-participants a zero!
They have not entered anything so I can not grade that. If I look in the Gradebook the non-participants have - (null?) rather than 0. So their non participation is not affecting the course average as that only averages activities that have a score.
Am I missing how to set a default score for the activity to zero rather than -
(I also have this same problem with a forum that I was hoping to grade participation in.)
