What about a 1.1 installed without a hitch?
I don't have the nerve to try to upgrade in the middle of a course, but in another site, I installed Moodle 1.1, and it's great! Beyond belief, actually.
I'm anxious to try the new "workshop" feature in a writing class for peer review of essays before turning them in to the teacher for grading. It looks like the new workshop will work great for that, especially with some experimentation with all the options!
