Until Moodle 2.2, we had a user-friendly Unit tests interface, within Moodle.
Now, "Moodle 2.3 uses PHPunit for its unit tests. Setting this up and getting it working is a bit of a pain..." (quoted from STACK Documentation).
I admit that unit tests are meant for developers only and developers are expected to be familiar with setting up all kind of configurations, but I do find the explanations obscure and mostly geared to unix/linux installations, not to my favorite environment, Windows.
For instance, the documentation talks of a certain "vendor", I have no idea what this is. It says:
To execute all test suites from main configuration file execute the vendor/bin/phpunit script from your $CFG->dirroot directory.
Can we have somewhere clear instructions for running that new unit tests system for Windows?
Thanks in advance,
