No images when I restore course

No images when I restore course

I downloaded a course from moodle.net and used the restore operation to create the course in my Moodle install. The images do not display. Is there a way to retrieve them? 

The course is called eLearning and Moodle Essentials +++Lite+++
Course Moodle Version: 2.0 RC1 (Build: 20101011)
My Moodle Version: Moodle 2.2.3+ (Build: 20120601)

I renamed the course backup file from essentials.mbz to essentials.zip and searched the directory for images after I extracted its contents, but it returned no results.

Hmm.. that's interesting because I just tried this course on a 2.4 Moodle and the images appear fine.  Have you restored other courses successfully in your Moodle 2 and this is the first one where the images don't appear?

I think this was the first restore I've ever done since moving to 2+. It's been a few years. I did restore the course How to use Multimedia in my course from Moodle.net. The images all display correctly. It is a 2.1.1 course.
