TinyMCE buttons and accessibility settings

TinyMCE buttons and accessibility settings

One of our users sets the accessibility options in their browser to display a certain background colour on web pages but this causes most of the TinyMCE toolbar buttons to disappear since they are actually background css sprites. Here is what they see:

Invisible buttons on the toolbar

We are using Moodle 2.4. I've tried switching the TinyMCE skin to High Contrast but but the toolbars then become a mess of huge text labels which other users complain about.

I could ask the user to use standard web forms instead of the editor, but this will deny them access to the spell checker which they rely upon.

Does anyone have any experience with this issue or ideas?

Thanks,

Ian

In normal web forms, my browser (firefox) allows me spell checking  after I installed the English and German dictionary.

Thanks Guido. I've suggested a browser plugin for her browser (IE9) but she is not keen on this. I guess if she works at different computers it may not always be possible to install a plugin.  Thanks for the tip though.
