I'm looking for an easy way to work in randomness into the questions on an exam so that the student will not see all of the same questions when they try again. The exam is open and they can try as many times as they want but the scores are averaged.
I didn't see in Moodle how you can create 50 question "slot" and have them all draw from the same category without the risk of the same question being slotted in two or more times.
I can't find any specific documentation that says I can draw from the same category in the same exam without risking that the question would be repeated. But it makes sense that the program itself would screen for that. I just can't find it.
Does Moodle have a mechanism so the questions do not repeat so if the student tried again it weould use the other questions first?
