Can you mark a forum read???

I LOVE the checks to mark all messages in a thread read however I felt this compelling need to spend the last hour marking EVERY thread read so that I can start with a clean slate. I know myself and there are certain forums which I don’t have interest in however I know that I will feel a need on a daily basis to mark them as read (chalk it up to OCD). Is it possible to have a check at next to the forum?

I am also wondering if this is an option that may be turned on or off by the teacher.

You can mark all read by going to the forum overview page:

http://moodle.org/mod/forum/index.php?id=5

If you don't have an interest in the forum you can stop tracking it via the forum page (underneath the subscription option) but you may be better off using the link above for that also as you will be able to click through them more effeciently.

I think I read there will be a mark all read within each forum. Hope so but less urgent now.

i can't answer the teacher point.

All these extra features in the forums are great. I like extra features cool
