You can create an html block where you list the words and then build in links to the glossary entry. (copy the URL at the top of the glossary entry window and use that as the link for the word) Depending on how large your glossary is, that would be a lot of work. This won't give you the definitions in the block.
I was wondering how many terms you will have in this glossary. If you have many, the block will become very long and take up a lot of space on the page even though it's down one side of the course page.
